For someone who only occasionally works on video projects as a hobby, the cost of a full Adobe CC subscription is just too great to justify. With the move to macOS it was time to find a new set of editing programs.
It’s been a whole month since I picked up my MacBook Pro from the local Apple Store, so perhaps it’s time to take a step back and evaluate where I am and how I got here.
I’ve already detailed the hardware that I’m using, so I thought I’d take a moment to list out the major applications that I’ll be working with.

Apple had originally indicated that my new laptop would be ready for collection on Wednesday, however Tuesday suddenly got a lot more exciting when I received a notification saying I could collect my order.
So I’ve moved over to iOS for phone and tablet, and we know I’m moving to macOS for my laptop, but am I 100% immersing myself into Apple’s ecosystem?
Well, I guess the easy answer to that is “no”!
The longer answer is possibly more nuanced.
